Through a long-term supply agreement with Otanmäki Mine Oy, the project secures access to a significant titanium-rich tailings resource containing titanium, vanadium, iron, and other strategic minerals. By transforming historical mine tailings into valuable products, it strengthens supply chain resilience, reduces environmental liabilities, and supports sustainable industrial growth.
The project utilizes Betolar’s proprietary Metal Extraction Technology and shows how advanced resource recovery can unlock significant value from existing mineral resources while contributing to the global transition toward a more circular and responsible economy.

Betolar has secured exclusive rights to utilize the titanium-rich mine tailings in the Otanmäki mining area and is applying its proprietary Metal Extraction Technology to recover valuable metals from these historical deposits.
The company's goal is to develop a commercially viable processing solution that can be replicated across similar tailings deposits worldwide. Studies by the Geological Survey of Finland (GTK) have identified the Otanmäki area as a significant source of titanium, vanadium, and iron.
