Insider information

Betolar Plc has received its first order for side stream research in Thailand with Inno Precast Company Limited, part of Pruksa Holding Group

Betolar has received an order from Inno Precast Company Limited, part of Pruksa Group, a leading real estate developer and integrated healthcare platforms, to study and analyse local alternative side streams in Thailand to further enhance sustainability in precast manufacturing. The order is Betolar's first in Thailand.

”Thailand is one of the world's fastest growing markets in terms of both industrial manufacturing and global tourism. Pruksa Group aims to be a pioneer in innovation and responsible construction. Thailand is an interesting market for us, and naturally Asia is becoming more important as a fast-growing market," says Ville Voipio, Chief Commercial Officer at Betolar.

”In today's dynamic landscape, Pruksa emphasizes the need to redefine wellness in housing, adapt to megatrends, and multigenerational change and bring in innovation for better living conditions. It’s the first in Thailand to adopt green technology like CarbonCure in order to produce low carbon precast and the first to adopt zero-waste manufacturing in its precast plants in Thailand. Partnering with Betolar is Pruksa Group's next initiative to drive forward its green innovation and benefits customers and overall industry. The collaboration is to introduce the use of geopolymer concrete in commercial scale, which is aligned with our commitment to sustainability in Thailand's real estate market", Inno Precast's CEO Mr. Porntep Suppataratarn comments.

The scope of the research supports Betolar’s strategy, updated in spring 2023, with a key focus on identifying and developing alternative side streams for new scalable construction solution purposes.

“To bring new side streams into the value chain, research needs to be accelerated and conducted where all three come together: green demand, side stream availability, and Betolar’s ability to generate added value by productized applications. Our joint effort with Pruksa Group is a great example of this”, Voipio continues.

The parties have agreed that the amount of the order will not be disclosed. Betolar anticipates that entering a new market will support the implementation of its updated strategy although the order will not have significant impact on Betolar's turnover and profit this year.
